Up late one-night worrying about the future of her family; the well-being of her kids she was surfing the web for any possible answers to her problem of housing. Her daughter, Anayshia 13, often times slept on the couch because her only other option was an unsafe basement. Junise knew she had to do something. But she wasn’t certain what that was? She happened upon Habitat’s website and registered to be contacted if their housing program opened back up. For her it was a late night hail mary; she didn’t even know if she’d get a call back. She wanted to live in a safer neighborhood and in a house where both her children, Anayshia and her son Nayshawn 8, both had their own rooms upstairs. She dreamed of a home that they could call their own. A couple weeks later she received a call from habitat to attend one of their workshops in deed the program had opened up.
